New Magpie: Liz Chaipraditkul

We’re excited to welcome another member to the Magpie team: Liz Chaipraditkul. Liz is our new Staff Developer, and she brings a world (several worlds, actually) of experience to the team! She’s a game designer and author with a tabletop roleplaying game company of her own in the Netherlands, Angry Hamster Publishing, whose latest game, Afterlife: Wandering Souls, won the 2020 Indie Groundbreaker Award for Best Setting.

Liz has a solid background in publishing, having developed quite a few books over the last few years. She’s worked for several RPG and tabletop game publishers including Modiphius Entertainment, John Wick Presents, and Gallant Knight Games. She’s a very organized developer and gets as much thrill out of figuring out how to fit everything together into a great book as she does in designing the systems in the first place.

Outside of coming up with new concepts and writing for RPGs, Liz is a doting mom like, one of those intensely proud moms who has a thousand pictures ready to bring up on her phone at a moment’s notice if you ask even one question (so be warned!). She’s also a loving dog-mom (did she hear you asking for more pictures?) an avid knitter, and she enjoys playing board games in her downtime.

We’re super impressed by Liz’s work with Angry Hamster and other publishers, and we can’t wait to see all the ideas she brings to the table at Magpie! Among the many roles she’s taking on with us, we are most excited for her to serve as the project manager for our new roleplaying game based on Avatar: The Last AIrbender and The Legend of Korra!
