The halls of the Phoenix Academy buzz with anticipation as you all return back to Academy Island after winter break. As juniors and seniors, the finish line is finally in sight, and with it, the promise of stepping into the world as full-time heroes. But freedom isn’t handed out so easily. Between rigorous classes, high-stakes training exercises, and constant scrutiny from faculty members and mentors alike, every decision you make could shape the kind of hero, or villain, you’ll become. Yet this year, something feels...off. Strange rumors swirl about the academy’s faculty, your classmates are keeping dangerous secrets, and whispers of a mysterious threat on the horizon are impossible to ignore. Balancing schoolwork, social drama, and superheroics was already a challenge, but now, your choices may impact more than just your grades.


Masks is a tabletop roleplaying game in which you play young superheroes who are growing up in a city several generations into its superheroic age. Halcyon City has had more than its fair share of superheroes, superteams, supervillains, and everything in between. Over the course of three different generations of super-people, Halcyon City has seen it all.

You play members of the fourth generation, young adults trying to figure out who they are and what kind of heroes they want to be. The rest of the world is telling them what to do, but they’ll find their own path amidst the noise. And kick some butt along the way. After all, what’s the point of being a hero if you can’t fight for the things you believe in?
